A field guide
for the morning.

FishSoFlo is a daily fishing forecast for South Florida's freshwater exotics — peacock bass, snakehead, clown knifefish, and largemouth. It's free, ad-supported, and built by a local angler.

How the forecast works

Every hour, FishSoFlo pulls live weather, barometric pressure, water temperature estimates, wind, cloud cover, and moon data for every water we cover. An AI model reads that data alongside our written notes on how each species behaves in South Florida and on each water itself, then makes the bite call — go, marginal, or skip.

Those notes tell it that peacock bass shut down below 70°F, that snakeheads go quiet for a day or two after a cold front, and that clown knifefish feed in low light. It applies them to today's conditions so you can spend less time second-guessing the weather and more time on the water. If the AI can't be reached, the site falls back to a simpler rule-based call so there's always a forecast.

Why it's free

Local businesses sponsor the site. If you're a South Florida business that wants to reach anglers who check conditions before every trip, head to Advertise.

Who runs it

FishSoFlo is built and maintained by a Delray Beach local who fishes for the same exotics you do. If a call doesn't match what you found on the water, tell us — that's how the notes behind the forecast get better.
